While training He fell in love with Martial Arts. He continued training under Cho for several years until he found a master who truly understood the art.
Daniel [his American name] Jong 8th Dun and founder of Christian Taekwondo, shared many secrets and applications with Dr. Davis. Although Dr. Davis has trained with many high profile instructors, none could compare with Daniel.
In the 1970's his instructor Daniel returned to Korea. Dr. Davis trained with several High ranking Taekwondo masters and found the lack of reverence for God in all he was involved with. In 1983 Dr. Davis developed the Omega Martial Arts system. Dr. Davis founded the business of Omega Karate Inc., opening schools in Littleton, Parker, and Castle Rock Colorado. Affiliate schools in Utah, Louisiana, and South Carolina were added later. He has promoted over 300 black Belts and developed a large teaching core. Omega is a Christian based- organization with Christ as the head.
In the early 1990's he saw a need for fair and safe tournaments. The Colorado Karate Association was formed in his school to accomplish these goals.
In 2002 Dr. Davis attained his PhD in Polemikolgy and Omega Martial Arts was recognized as a free standing system.
Dr Davis has competed nationally and international winning many awards including two Triple Crown World Titles.
Dr. Davis is a nationally certified referee in USTU, USAKF, and World Congress of Martial Arts. He holds master ranks in Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Isshinryu Karte-Do and Taekwondo. He currently serves on the Executive Board for World Congress of Martial Arts and is the Chief Operations Officer, as well as, Competition Director for International Events.
